Coaching for Caregivers™ can help!
We provide individual and family coaching, guidance and support services for caregivers and family members of Alzheimer's/dementia patients. Services can be provided in person, online or by telephone:
Coaching for Caregivers™, counseling, guidance and support specialization includes:

Coaching for Caregivers™ helps you understand your family member that suffers from memory loss and helps you, as the primary caregiver, with all of the challenges that care giving can bring.
A specially trained Geriatric Care Manager and Health & Wellness Coach works with you and your family to understand and accept the behaviors resulting from the brain changes. Your coach will teach you how to simplify tasks so that your loved one can participate more fully and safely in his own care and continue to find pleasure in family life.  
You will learn how to adopt a new way of communicating to accommodate the language changes dementia brings. We teach effective strategies that improve the quality of life for the person with memory loss and help family members maintain healthy relationships with their loved one.
Coaching for Caregivers™ can help you:
·         Understand dementia
·         Understand how Alzheimer's disease is diagnosed
·         Understand the behaviors commonly seen in dementia
·         Learn new ways to respond to behaviors
·         Find balance in your life and take care of yourself
·         Stress relief and improve coping skills
·         Plan for future needs
·         Provide ongoing support and guidance

Staff Training

    Coaching for Caregivers provides inservice education for health care staff working with the dementia population in adult day care centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and physician practices. Training includes but is not limited to:
  • How to communicate with a dementia patient
  • How to manage common difficult behaviors
  • How to provide personal care and showering for the dementia patient
  • Activities for the dementia patient 
  • Managing combativeness
